Turquoise on sterling silver chain
A small Mojave turquoise cabochon hung on a sterling silver chain. This turquoise has been stabilised, which means it has previously been subjected to a treatment to strengthen it (see link below for more information). Despite its name, there is not much turquoise colour on this piece. It is mainly white, brown & orange but it is still attractive.
